On the afternoon of June 29, the CPC Committee of Shenzhen Samii Medical Center (SSMC) held a grand gathering to mark the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the Party, with a theme of "Struggle for a Century, Set Sail for a New Journey".

The gathering kicked off in the majestic "March of the Volunteers". All Party members, candidates for Party membership, active Party applicants, members of democratic parties, middle-level cadres and members of the public present at the gathering stood up and sang the national anthem loudly, yielding a warm and solemn atmosphere.

The century of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was written with blood, sweat, tears, courage, wisdom and strength. At the gathering, all participants watched the Party history education film "A Century of the Communist Party of China".

Every road, every mountain and every river the CPC has walked, climbed over and crossed in the past century is a vivid textbook filled with ideals, beliefs and revolutionary spirits, in which lies the genetic code of the Chinese spirit.

Looking back on the development of the hospital, the Party organization has grown from scratch, going through a temporary Party branch to a general Party branch, and finally to the current Party Committee with a complete structure. Under the leadership of the Party and the joint efforts of all staff, the hospital has transformed from a mud land to a garden-style hospital in just 5 years. In addition to daily diagnosis and treatment, the hospital also wholeheartedly participated in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in Shenzhen, winning him an award of "Shenzhen Advanced Collective against COVID-19 Pandemic" by Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC and Shenzhen Municipal People's Government.

WANG Cheng, CPC Secretary of the hospital, made a speech at the meeting, where he pointed out "We have gathered here today to celebrate the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, to jointly review the glorious course of the great Party in the past century, to witness the brilliant achievements made by the great Party over the past hundred years, and to inspire the vast number of Party members and employees to devote themselves to their daily work with a fuller mental state, a more scientific working attitude and an increased level of political awareness, so as to realize the rapid leap-forward development of our hospital."

A hundred years ago, the Chinese nation was reduced to a poor and weak semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. Under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people waged arduous struggles, writing a magnificent, epic, impressive and enduring development history. The red boat in 1921 carrying the nation's hope and the people's trust crossed the rapids and treacherous waves to lead the entire nation to march courageously towards realizing the Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation. From a small red boat then to today's majestic ship, the CPC has developed into the world's largest political party with 95 million members, which has profoundly changed the development direction and course of the Chinese nation, the future and destiny of the Chinese people, and the trend and pattern of world development. Over the past 100 years, the CPC members have constantly adapted to the historical trend, courageously shouldered the historical burden, dared to sacrifice and struggle, and demonstrated their heroic spirit to make the sun and the moon shine in the new sky, which all contribute to today's achievements.

In the 40 years of reform and opening up, all of us are participants, witnesses, and beneficiaries. Earth-shaking changes and great achievements have been made by the 40-year reform and opening up. Since the 18^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the leadership of the far-sighted CPC Central Committee, China's economic and social development has been conspicuous and rapid through a series of actions such as sticking to anti-corruption, poverty alleviation, people-centeredness, and development as the top priority, fighting the pandemic, and improving its ability to cope with major risks, difficulties and obstacles.

He emphasizes that on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Party, it is of great necessity and importance for the CPC Central Committee to call for Party history learning. It is helpful to understand the historical truth, clarify the historical context, grasp the historical laws and conform to the historical trend, so as to deeply understand what is "confidence in its path", "confidence in its theory", "confidence in its system" and "confidence in its culture", and to better translate theory into practical action.

He hopes that all Party members, cadres and employees in the hospital can integrate their simple feelings towards the Party into their daily work and that everyone can give full play to their intelligence and develop their sense of ownership to make our hospital achieve a better and faster leap-forward development.

The CPC is the common choice of the nation, people, times and history. We will always listen to and be loyal to the Party and we wish a happy 100^th birthday to the Party!

Regardless of the Party's construction or the hospital's development, the original aspiration and founding mission are always the fundamental driving forces that constantly inspire us to advance. Led by WANG Cheng, all participants raised their right fist to review the admission oath of the CPC and remain true to their original aspiration and funding mission.

WANG Hepeng, a Party candidate, expressed his reverence for the century-old history of the CPC and his yearning for the Party at the meeting. Probationary Party members ZHU Huiwen and FAN Yujun introduced their growing process of becoming a Party member. Their words were plain, but showed their sincere feelings for the CPC indeed.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, our hospital has been fighting on two fronts in normal medical work and COVID-19 prevention and control, during which many touching stories, advanced collectives and individuals have emerged. The meeting commended and rewarded six outstanding Party members WANG Feng, YANG Limei, WU Zibin, LUO Xiaoli, WEN Rongzhen and TENG Xinghai.

Additionally, Department II of Clinical Medicine of the hospital was awarded the title of advanced grass-roots Party organization by the Party Work Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, comrades CHEN Min and WAN Lidan were awarded as outstanding Party members by the Party Work Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, and comrade ZHANG Longping was awarded the title of excellent Party worker by the Party Work Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission.

China is still young despite the century-old history of the CPC.

It's the time for great national rejuvenation to take the relay from the 100 years of struggles.

Underneath the 100-year epic journey is the never-changing and enduring original aspiration. Under the leadership of the CPC, all our staff will strive to open a new chapter for building a modern socialist country in all respects, and forge ahead courageously on the road of building a regional medical center and fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic!

The celebration successfully concluded with the passionate singing of the Internationale. Everyone sang "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China" loudly to express their love for the Party and their wishes for a better tomorrow for the motherland.
