This year not only marks the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), but also the first year of the 14^th Five-Year Plan. Standing at the height of the times to pursue a strategy of national rejuvenation amid global changes of a magnitude not seen in a century, the CPC Central Committee decided to carry out Party history learning and education among all of its members.

On February 20, XI Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered an important speech at a key meeting to launch a campaign on Party history learning and education among all Party members, giving important instructions on promoting the whole Party to thoroughly study and understand Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, better summing up historical experience, understanding historical laws, grasping the historical initiative, building a more powerful Marxist political party, and striving for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.

To thoroughly implement the spirit of the launch meeting of on Party history learning and education by the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Municipal Party Committee and the Party Work Committee of Municipal Health Commission, recently, the Party Committee of Shenzhen Samii Medical Center held a grand launch meeting on Party history learning and education in 2021, mobilizing Party members, cadres, and members of the public in the hospital to strengthen their understanding, conviction, integrity, and diligence through continued study of Party history and to study the Party's history, understand its theories, do practical work and make new advances, thus to welcome the Party's centenary with outstanding achievements. All Party members, candidates and activists, some democratic parties and personages without party affiliation, cadres and members of the public attended the meeting.

The meeting first reviewed the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping's important speech at the launch meeting on Party history learning and education and conveyed the spirit of the CPC Central Committee's Notice on Party-wide Learning and Education of Party History as well as the spirit of the launch meeting on Party history learning and education of the whole city and the Party Work Committee of Municipal Health Commission. In accordance with the spirit of the launch meeting of on Party history learning and education by the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Municipal Party Committee and the Party Work Committee of Municipal Health Commission, our hospital has formulated the Work Plan for the Party Committee of Shenzhen Samii Medical Center on Carrying out Party History Learning and Education, which will be implemented in all work throughout the year.

Party history learning and education is an important part of the daily education and training of Party members and cadres. High Attention Required due to its Great Significance 

At the key node of the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the CPC Central Committee decided to carry out Party history learning and education among all of its members, which is of far-reaching historical and practical significance. In its 100 years of magnificent history, the CPC made great sacrifices to secure the independence of the nation and liberate the Chinese people. After the founding of New China, in the period of socialist construction, it also made great efforts to lead the Chinese people to realize the Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation. Only by understanding the whole history can we deeply realize that there would be no new China without the CPC; without the CPC, there would be no socialism with Chinese characteristics; without the CPC, there would be no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At the key node of the historical intersection of the "two centenary" struggle goals, it is both right and absolutely necessary to launch Party history learning and education among all Party members. The whole hospital must attach great importance to it and conscientiously implement it.

Master the Methodology and Put it into Practice 

Party history learning and education is to study the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development across Chinese society. The "four histories" are inseparable and come down in one continuous line, which should be studied and understood seriously. In the learning and education of Party history, we should make good use of the resources of Shenzhen, the forefront of China's reform and opening up, refer to the course and experience of Shenzhen's 40 years of reform and opening up, and take the hospital's past and future prospects as a starting point to promote our medical work to a new level. We can also go to Shaoshan and Jinggang Mountains for study, receiving education on Party history, and enhancing team cohesion. In terms of daily Party history learning and education, we should also pay special attention to the study of multimedia materials, which are convenient for understanding and strengthening memory.

A good understanding of Party history is of great guiding significance to the work, study and life of the broad Party members and cadres, especially the younger generation, so as to better enhance the Party's cohesion, combat effectiveness, leadership and appeal, maintain the Party's vitality forever, and better mobilize the entire Party and the whole country to devote themselves with full confidence to building a modern socialist country in all respects.
