The Anesthesiology Department in Shenzhen Samii International Medical Center is a department integrating clinical anesthesia, pain diagnosis and treatment, post anesthesia monitoring and treatment, and nursing anesthesia. There are 8 anesthesiologists, of them 2 with senior titles, 3 with deputy senior titles, 2 are attending physicians and 1 resident physician. Among them, 2 have doctor’s degree and 3 have master’s degree. The Anesthesiology Department is equipped with a number of imported ventilators, anesthesia machines, the most advanced international anesthesia workstation, multi-functional monitor, anesthesia depth monitor, muscle relaxant monitor, blood glucose detector, glidescope, nerve stimulator, fiberoptic bronchoscope, blood gas analyzer, ultrasonic Doppler, self-control analgesia pump, target controlled injection pump, defibrillator and other equipment, and a post anesthesia care unit (PACU) with 6 hospital beds. At present, the Anesthesiology Department can carry out a variety of clinical anesthesia techniques including general anesthesia, intraspinal anesthesia, nerve block anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia and various specialized anesthesia. While ensuring the safety of anesthesia during operation, the Anesthesiology Department also undertakes the rescue, treatment and resuscitation of critical patients, postoperative analgesia, labor analgesia, clinic painless examination and pain clinic, etc., so as to provide patients with more painless medical technology and make progress towards the construction of comfortable medical treatment.
