To meet the growing demand for psychological care, our hospital has opened the Psychiatry Department (Psychiatry Clinic) in March 2023. The department is currently staffed with 4 professionals: 1 chief physician, 1 associate chief physician, 1 attending physician, and 1 psychotherapist (counselor). They provide the clinical psychiatric and psychological diagnosis and treatment services to the citizens, including psychiatric disorder diagnosis, psychological measurement and assessment, psychological counseling, psychotherapy, medication therapy, and physical therapy.

Services available:

1. Scope of diagnosis and treatment: Diagnosis and treatment of various psychiatric and psychological disorders, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sleep disorders, eating disorders, somatoform disorders, stress-related disorders, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, alcohol dependence, dementia, and psychiatric disorders caused by physical illnesses. Common psychological and psychiatric problems in children and adolescents are also addressed, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), tic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, emotional disorders, and behavioral problems.

2. Forms of psychotherapy (counseling) include individual psychological counseling for adolescents and adults, and counseling for couples and parent-child relationships. The scope of psychotherapy (counseling) includes cognitive and emotional assessments for children and adolescents, counseling for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and grief, family parenting skills, interpersonal relationship, career planning, self-exploration, and personal growth, etc.

3. Cloud-based Psychological CT Assessment System: Psychological CT includes the analysis of results based on nearly 100 psychological scales, covering examinations related to depression, anxiety, obsession, sleep, psychosomatic illnesses, personality, marriage and family issues, etc. It can comprehensively evaluate the mental health status of test takers and has widespread applications in mental health, psychological counseling and therapy, psychosomatic illnesses, psychological wellness, and sub-health examination, etc.

4. Conducting mental health education activities: Organizing various psychological lectures and related psychology courses inside and outside the hospital, such as lectures on occupational stress and emotion management, mental health education courses, etc.; carrying out group counseling and group training activities; providing online mental health education.

5. In-hospital joint consultation: As a general hospital with the focus on neuroscience, our inpatients are prone to experiencing psychological problems. The Psychiatry Department maintains close communication and cooperation with the Neurology, Neurosurgery and other departments, providing consultation services for inpatients with psychiatric disorders. Additionally, it also offers psychological counseling and treatment services for inpatients in need.
