Specializing in hernia and abdominal wall diseases, Dr. SUI diagnoses and performs laparoscopy-assisted surgeries for various hernias, such as inguinal hernias, femoral hernias, incisional hernias, lumbar hernias, linea alba hernias, and parastomal hernias; and gastrointestinal tumors, such as low anterior resection of rectal cancer, radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer, and radical colectomy for colon cancer. Moreover, he diagnoses and treats benign diseases of the rectum and anal canal, including hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, perianal abscesses, and low rectal polyps.

He had practiced abdominal surgery for 30 years in Grade III Level A hospitals and is a supervisor for master's students. He is Vice Chairman of the Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Inaugural President and Advisor of the Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Doctor Association, and Executive Member of the Second Gastrointestinal Tumor Committee of the Shenzhen Medical Doctor Association. He underwent further studies in the Hernia & Abdominal Wall Surgery Department at Diakoniekrankhaus in Rotenburg, Germany, and in the Digestive Surgery Department at the Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR.

He has published more than 20 medical papers as first author and a book titled Practical Groin Hernia Surgery as associate editor.
