The Central Operating Room is an important clinical department in SSIMC. It is responsible for cooperating in the outpatient and emergency surgeries and surgical rescue of all surgical departments.
The Central Operating Room is designed according to the criteria for Grade III general hospitals, with reasonable and standard layout as well as clean and neat environment. There are 16 operating rooms, including 2 Class 100 cleanrooms, 7 Class 1,000 cleanrooms and 7 Class 10,000 cleanrooms. There is also 1 integrated digital operating room. It implements a modernized IT management mode. Each operating room is equipped with multi-functional operating table, shadowless lamp, tower and other equipment, as well as mobile C-arm X-ray machine, high-definition laparoscope, choledochoscope, cystoscope, ureteroscope, hysteroscope, self-retaining laryngoscope, nasal endoscope, holmium laser, plasma electrotomy, microscope, ophthalmic phacoemulsification apparatus and other advanced large equipment, so as to ensure the implementation of all types of clinical surgeries and surgical quality to the greatest extent and to ensure the safety of patients.
There are 16 nurses in the Central Operating Room, including 1 associate chief nurse, 5 charge nurses, 9 staff nurses and 1 nurse. All nursing staff constitute a team with superior business techniques, a strong sense of responsibility, good personal quality and vitality, which has strict aseptic concepts and adept surgical cooperation skills, can solve complicated and urgent problems in specialized surgical cooperation, and has the ability to cooperate in the completion of large-scale rescues.
