Deeply Committed to Promoting Public Health Education: This Is How We Take Action
The hospital’s designation as a public health education base is the result of its ongoing, dedicated efforts and solid work in health education. In 2024, the hospital advanced the public-benefit science education initiatives through diverse approaches, achieving remarkable results, which included engaging children as “little doctors” to learn first aid; visiting over 40 community schools to teach the Heimlich maneuver; holding weekly health lectures, with all 46 sessions fully attended throughout the year; conducting 103 prenatal classes, helping 3,748 expectant parents; organizing 48 all-age health activities ranging from early cancer screening to mental health, delivering health knowledge with a combination of professional expertise and fun, benefiting tens of thousands. Each activity represents a strategic shift in the allocation of healthcare resources—from primarily focusing on clinical treatment to prioritizing prevention.
Building a Leading Model Science Education Platform to Support the Health of the Pingshan Community.
The successful designation as the Public Science Education Base of Pingshan District marks a new milestone for our hospital in fulfilling social responsibilities and promoting health knowledge. Looking ahead, our hospital will take this opportunity to continuously enrich the resources for public science education, develop new ways of education, expand the reach of these educational efforts, and actively build a more professional, interactive, and influential public health education platform. We are committed to improving residents’ health literacy and contributing solidly to building a “Healthy Pingshan.”
Public science education benefits the people, health education comes first. We look forward to your attention and participation!
