On August 19, 2025, in celebration of the 8th “Chinese Doctors' Day” and to embody the theme of “Virtues are Shown Through Actions, Skill is Perfected Through Diligence,” the Fourth People’s Hospital of Shenzhen held a grand commendation ceremony. He remarked that choosing the medical profession signifies a lifelong commitment to continuous learning and self-discipline. While it may not shine as brightly as a celebrity or get rich quickly like a businessman, it offers a profound and enduring respect and value that transcends generations. He called on all physicians to uphold the principles of “loyalty, integrity, and accountability,” to fulfill their mission through dedication to their roles, to rise to challenges with courage and responsibility, and to bring patient-centered care back to the core of medicine.
