Reinforcing Safety Measures to Ensure a Safe Celebration of the New Year | The Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen Carries out a Safe Operation Inspection before the Spring Festival
2026-02-11

As the Spring Festival is coming, in order to strengthen safety measures during the holiday period and ensure that all hospital operations run smoothly and in an orderly manner, the Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen carried out a comprehensive safety inspection on February 11 before the Spring Festival. Executive Hospital Director TIAN Huaigu of the hospital led the heads of relevant departments to key areas of the hospital campus, where they conducted on-site supervision of the implementation of safety responsibilities and carried out a comprehensive inspection for potential risks and hazards.

The inspection team conducted on-site supervision of key areas one after another, including the canteen (and its gas facilities), the liquid oxygen station, the renovation area of Inpatient Ward 1B, the wastewater treatment station, and the ICU. At each site, Executive Hospital Director TIAN Huaigu carefully examined the operational status of the equipment, the setup of safety facilities, and inspection records. He focused on key areas such as gas usage safety, oxygen storage management, proper wastewater treatment procedures, and emergency preparedness in intensive care wards. He also asked on-duty staff about emergency response process and their understanding of safety responsibilities, and issued clear instructions for rectifying any issues identified.

During the inspection, Executive Hospital Director TIAN Huaigu emphasized that the Spring Festival is an important time for family reunions, and vigilance in hospital safety must never be relaxed. He required strict implementation of the shift handover policy so that responsibilities are passed from one shift to the next with no responsibility left unattended. He called for strengthened duty responsibilities during the holiday, with specific personnel assigned to specific posts and clear responsibilities in key areas. He also stressed making sure communication channels remain open so that any emergencies can be responded to and handled immediately. In addition, he urged everyone to stay highly alert to safety risks and not let the guard down, and never assume that “nothing will go wrong.”

Executive Hospital Director TIAN Huaigu pointed out that safety is the essential foundation of all hospital operations and the most basic commitment to both patients and staff. He emphasized that the entire hospital staff should always stay alert and responsible, ensuring that all safety measures are implemented thoroughly and effectively. Through diligent and practical efforts, the hospital will continue to maintain a safe environment and ensure a peaceful Spring Festival for both patients and staff.

The pre–Spring Festival comprehensive safety inspection further strengthened safety responsibilities in key areas and enhanced risk prevention awareness in critical positions, providing a solid guarantee for the hospital to have a safe and peaceful Spring Festival.
