Reinforcing Safety Measures to Ensure Hospital Safety during May Day Holiday | The Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen Carries out a Safe Operation Inspection before May Day
2026-04-30

With the May Day holiday coming, in order to thoroughly implement General Secretary XI Jinping’s important instructions on workplace safety, resolutely prevent and mitigate various safety risks, and fully safeguard the hospital’s safety and stability during the holiday period, the Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen recently carried out a series of pre-holiday inspections on safe operation. On April 28 and 30, the hospital leadership respectively led inspection team to conduct inspections of key areas, thoroughly identify potential hazards, and strengthen safety responsibilities.

Executive Hospital Director TIAN Huaigu led an inspection of key areas including the IT server room, MRI equipment room, hazardous chemicals storage room of the Pathology Department, 2A construction site of the inpatient building , purified water system room, gas manifold room, and clean HVAC machine room, etc.

Deputy Hospital Director YU Ping led a safety inspection of key areas including the Medical Textile Management Center, IT equipment storage rooms, mobile and telecom equipment rooms, UPS equipment rooms, and consumables and logistics supplies warehouses.

During the two rounds of inspections, the inspection teams recorded the issues identified item by item, clearly assigned responsible persons for rectification, and set deadlines for completion on site. The relevant responsible departments were required to complete the rectifications promptly and ensure a“closed-loop”management.

Deputy Hospital Director YU Ping asked all departments and wards to take further primary responsibility for workplace safety, carry out extra inspections of potential hazards related to fire safety, electricity use, and gas systems, and that for issues repeatedly found in different sites, department heads must organize a thorough internal review, ensure timely rectification, and eliminate any safety risks.

Executive Hospital Director TIAN Huaigu emphasized that safety is the most basic and essential requirement that must never be compromised in hospital operations, and that all departments and wards must further strengthen their primary responsibility for workplace safety. He instructed all departments to strictly implement a 24-hour duty system, with dedicated staff on shift and a senior leader on duty, so that responsibilities are smoothly passed from one shift to the next with no responsibility left unattended. He also stressed close monitoring of key risk areas, continuously strengthening safety management of the IT server room, hazardous chemicals, construction sites, and special equipment, ensuring there are no overlooked areas or management loopholes at all.

This series of pre-holiday workplace safety inspections fully demonstrates that the hospital leadership attaches great importance to safety work and provides a solid guarantee for the safe and well-organized operation of the hospital during the May Day holiday.
