With the Dragon Boat Festival approaching and the flood season underway, heavy rainfall has been frequent. To fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on work safety, proactively prevent and mitigate various safety risks, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the hospital during the holiday, Executive Hospital DirectorTIAN Huaigu led a team in conducting pre-Dragon Boat Festival safety and flood prevention inspections on the morning of June 16.

The inspection team conducted an in-depth review of key areas across the hospital campus, focusing on critical aspects including fire safety, electrical safety, flood prevention and preparedness, equipment operation, and emergency duty arrangements. The team carried out on-site inspections and supervision at several key locations, including the fire control center, power distribution room, basements and low-lying areas, inpatient wards, and information technology server rooms.

During the inspection, Executive Hospital DirectorTIAN Huaigu emphasized that it's currently in the flood season, and with the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday, various safety risks may overlap and intensify. He put forward four requirements:

First, ensure that safety responsibilities are clearly assigned and effectively implemented.All departments should conduct further inspections and rectification of potential hazards related to fire safety, electrical safety, flood prevention, and other areas.

Second, enhance flood prevention and emergency response capabilities. The frequency of inspections for drainage facilities should be increased, water leakage issues should be addressed promptly, and sufficient emergency supplies and personnel should be ensured.

Third, strictly implement duty arrangements. The 24-hour duty policy and leadership on-site duty policy should be carried out, with communication channels kept open to ensure timely response and handling of emergencies.

Fourth, focus on key areas and strengthen safety management. Special attention should be given to critical areas such as basements, power distribution rooms, oxygen supply stations, and information technology server rooms to eliminate blind spots and safety gaps.

The pre-holiday safety production and flood prevention inspection further strengthened safety awareness and flood prevention preparedness throughout the hospital, providing a solid foundation for the hospital’s safe, stable, and orderly operation during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
