As a milestone in the development of Shenzhen Samii International Medical Center (SSIMC), the International Telemedicine Center was officially opened and put into use on February 1, 2021.

The center can, in the shortest time and the most direct way, bring the best medical knowledge and techniques of medical experts nationwide and worldwide to Pingshan and Shenzhen citizens, and provide a platform for SSIMC medical staff to communicate and grow with their counterparts all over the world.

After the establishment of the center, SSIMC will organize consultation activities with international experts for its staff and patients. Also, it will regularly organize consultation activities for special and difficult cases in other hospitals in Shenzhen to generate supplementary opinions. At the same time, physicians from other hospitals will be invited to participate in consultation activities for selected cases.

At present, the Neurosurgery Department has carried out regular consultation activities, which will be gradually extended to other disciplines in the future.
