2021-05-18
Shenzhen Samii International Medical Center (SSIMC), the only municipal public hospital operated under Sino-German cooperation in China, is making every effort to provide sound vaccination services for Hong Kong and Macao compatriots and foreigners in Pingshan District. Since the initiation of above vaccination services on April 14, SSIMC has received 160 recipients from more than 20 countries and regions, including Hong Kong, Macao, South Korea, Germany, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Canada, Japan, Malaysia and Cameroon. (I) Full preparation and quick response. Based on high staff quality, advanced infrastructure and international cooperation, SSIMC has rapidly organized a special vaccination team consisting of physicians, nurses, volunteers and other personnel and set a vaccination site covering an area of 1,600 m2 on Floor 4 of Outpatient Services, which is capable of receiving up to 3,000 people per day, significantly improving vaccination services for Hong Kong and Macao compatriots and foreigners. (II) Standardized and safe vaccination. “There is no trivial matter in foreign affairs.” SSIMC attaches great importance to COVID-19 vaccination services for Hong Kong and Macao compatriots and foreigners. SSIMC has carried out the training for medical staff and the division of areas for waiting, registration, vaccination and observation in strict accordance with the vaccination criteria and requirements. Recipients fill in the epidemiological questionnaire in the waiting area on Floor 1, and are ushered to the registration area on Floor 4 in batches to receive vaccines. After vaccination, recipients can leave through a special exit after an observation in the observation area for half an hour. SSIMC has also set 2 emergency rooms equipped with rescue drugs and facilities, and arranged full-time physicians. Recipients can receive timely and effective treatment in case of serious adverse reactions. (III) Careful and considerate services. SSIMC has provided Chinese-English guidance signs for vaccination in all areas, set 2 windows for English registration services with a variety of English documents such as Informed Consent for Vaccination, Epidemiological Survey, Vaccination Prescription and Vaccination Certificate, and arranged relevant bilingual personnel including physicians, nurses and volunteers to assist foreigners in solving the language barrier, phone operation and other issues. SSIMC has also provided other careful and considerate services, such as soft seats, drinking water and snacks in the observation area, trying its best to ensure smooth and pleasant vaccination.
