Since the 2022 epidemic outbreak in Shenzhen, our hospital has resolutely implemented decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and work arrangements of the city and the district, taking the epidemic prevention and control as the most important work and the most urgent task. While building a stronger line of defense for the epidemic prevention and control in our hospital, we have resolutely followed the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control across the city, made responses positively and got assembled quickly, and immediately organized medical staff for support: some fought on the frontline of “rescue and treatment” in the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen, some fought on the frontline of “demining” -- nucleic acid sampling, some fought on the frontline of “supporting” in the warm station, and some fought on the frontline of “sentinel” in the hospital. 5 key nurses, namely HUANG Qilong, YE Ziqiang, ZHANG Lu, ZHONG Yunfeng and CAI Huiqiang, have already gone to the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for support, where they will fight overnight for two months. What is more valuable is that, as early as 2020 when the COVID-19 epidemic broke out in China for the first time, HUANG Qilong and YE Ziqiang already worked in the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for support, and this is their second trip.

Our medicalstaff joined the fight regardless of their families, never shirked the hardships, andmade concentrated efforts and great contributions to control the spread of the epidemic as soon as possible, showing their superb skills, excellent quality and a good spiritual outlook of tenacity, and practicing the great anti-epidemic spirit with their real actions. Here, the hospital would like to extend its greatest respect, most sincere solicitude and most heartfelt thanks to all the staff involved in the fight against the epidemic!

At present, the epidemic prevention and control in Shenzhen is facingsevere challenges. Three rounds of mass nucleic acid testing are being carried out across the city and we are under the critical period of epidemic prevention and control. It is expected all employees will keep the overall situation in mind, continue to maintain high morale, resolutely remain vigilant, avoid succumbing to battle fatigue, overcome the idea of leaving things to chance and never slacken our efforts, consciously take up the political responsibility of epidemic prevention and control, and continue to implement the practical aspects and details of the epidemic prevention and control as carefully as possible.

Success comes to those who share the same purpose and prosperity comes to those who stand together through thick and thin. A short break is for a better start. We firmly believe that under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade XI Jinping as the core, under the correct leadership of the municipal CPC committee and the municipal government, and with the joint efforts of the citywide healthcare system, we will be able to win the final victory in the epidemic prevention and control!
