On the afternoon of July 21, CHANG Juping, Deputy Director General of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission (SMHC), FEI Xiaoyu, Deputy District Mayor of the People's Government of Pingshan District, WU Zhaoling, Director General of the Pingshan District Health Bureau, GAO Tan, Deputy Director General of the Pingshan District Health Bureau, and the personnel from the Municipal Center for Disease Control and the Prevention, Municipal Health Inspection Bureau, the Public Health Management Office of SMHC as well as other departments and offices, came to Shenzhen Samii International Medical Center (SSIMC, The Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen) to guide the epidemic prevention and control work. Accompanied by WANG Cheng, CPC Secretary, Legal Representative and Deputy Hospital Director of SSIMC, and LI Yijiang, Deputy Hospital Director of SSIMC, CHANG Juping and the delegation inspected the control conditions of SSIMC's Fever Clinic and Emergency Department, and learned about SSIMC's emergency response to one confirmed COVID-19 positive case after discovery.

WANG Cheng made a detailed report on the response process of the confirmed COVID-19 positive case from hospital visiting, case discovery to emergency response in accordance with relevant regulations and the ongoing preparations for work resumption.

WU Zhaoling said that SSIMC's emergency response to the confirmed positive case was timely and effective,giving prominence to the role of pre-examination and triage, which effectively prevented the spread of the epidemic and minimized the impact. During this period, SSIMC successfully saved two pregnant women, fully embodying the spirit of rescuing the dying and healing the wounded.

FEI Xiaoyu expressed her appreciation for SSIMC's rapid response, efficient organization and orderly coordination in the emergency response to the confirmed positive case, which she believed was also a reflection of SSIMC's solid and effective prevention and control work at ordinary times.
