In order to create a safe and harmonious holiday atmosphere for the patients and medical workers, on September 9, the day before the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Ethan Kholdebarin, Director of Shenzhen Samii International Medical Center (The Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen) (SSIMC), and WANG Cheng, CPC Secretary, Legal Representative and Deputy Hospital Director of SSIMC, together with relevant departments of the hospital, carried out a pre-festival inspection for safe operation.

The leaders first came to the police station of the hospital and asked in detail about the hospital's medical-police coordination mechanism and security details such as hospital patrol, monitoring and tracking, emergency response procedures, and real-time face recognition system. Ethan Kholdebarin, Hospital Director, expressed his gratitude to the hard work of the police stationed in the hospital, and pointed out that our hospital, as the only hospital in Pingshan District selected as a pilot hospital of medical-police coordination in Shenzhen Smart and Safe Hospitals, will continue to strengthen communication and cooperation with the public security bureaus, establish a good medical-police coordination mechanism, effectively maintain the order of the hospital's diagnosis and treatment environment, and strive to provide patients and medical staff with a harmonious, stable and safe medical environment.

Next, the leaders of the hospital focused on inspecting the safe operation and COVID-19 prevention and control in Emergency Department, Outpatient Services, Fever Clinic, One-stop Nucleic Acid Testing Station, sewage treatment stations, and 711 convenience store. Among them, the leaders focused on the operation of the treatment facilities of the sewage treatment station, the disinfection of medical wastewater, the monitoring of sewage, and the management ledger for operation and maintenance, and supervised the implementation of various safety responsibility systems.

The leaders also went to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and TCM Clinic to conduct on-site inspection and supervision, inspect various rehabilitation facilities and equipment, and understand the patients' use of them and their therapeutic effect. The leaders also inspected the completion of the renovation of the Moxibustion Treatment Room on the spot. Ethan Kholdebarin, Hospital Director, asked the Outpatient Services to focus on better ensuring the safety of patients while optimizing the medical environment, further improving the hospital's service capabilities, and improving patient satisfaction.

During the safety inspection, the leaders also randomly checked the implementation of the code scanning of the venue codes in the hospital. WANG Cheng, CPC Secretary, pointed out that the establishment of the "venue code" in public places is to implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures of the smallest unit, which can ensure that in the event of an outbreak, departments at all levels can respond quickly and conduct accurate epidemiological surveys, so as to realize the effectiveness by "codes" for digital COVID-19 prevention.
