As the Spring Festival of 2023, the Year of the Rabbit, is approaching, in order to further implement the responsibilities of safe operation, on January 19, Ethan Kholdebarin, Hospital Director of Shenzhen Samii International Medical Center (The Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen) (SSIMC), and WANG Cheng, CPC Secretary, Legal Representative and Deputy Hospital Director of SSIMC, together with relevant departments of the hospital, carried out an inspection for safe operation before the Spring Festival.

The leaders conducted a sweeping investigation on key safety locations such as the hospital canteen, oxygen station, power distribution room, ward, Diagnostic Laboratory, and sewage treatment station. Careful inquiries and all-round inspections were conducted on the safe operation checklist, whether maintenance personnel were trained, management of hazardous chemicals, and disposal of hazardous wastes. Any problems found on site were immediately ordered to be rectified by the department head, so as to seriously eliminate potential medical safety hazards.

During the investigation of oxygen station, the leaders conducted on-site inquiries on the staff members' process mastery and safety system, and pointed out that all clinical departments should prepare enough oxygen, rescue drugs and devices, and emergency facilities required to treat critically ill patients in the hospital, and ensure that the patients and medical staff spend a safe and sound Spring Festival.

WANG Cheng, CPC Secretary, emphasized during the inspection that medical and health institutions, as key institutions of safe operation, have great responsibilities. During the Spring Festival, everyone should attach great importance to medical safe operation, especially fire protection and fireworks control. He pointed out that the head of each department should keep their eyes open and build a solid bottom line of safety with the spirit of "combat readiness". While ensuring the quality and safety of medical care, they should make emergency plans for unexpected incidents, stick to their posts, and shoulder their responsibilities to ensure the stable and orderly progress of medical safe operation during the festival.

Ethan Kholdebarin, Hospital Director, affirmed the safety operation of the hospital. At the same time, he hoped that the staff of the hospital would continue to keep in mind the importance of safe operation. Any abnormal situation should be reported and dealt with in a timely manner, so that a safe, harmonious and stable diagnosis and treatment environment of the hospital can be jointly maintained.

Through this safety inspection, our hospital has effectively prevented the occurrence of hidden safety accidents, improved the awareness on safety responsibility of all staff, and ensured the safe, stable and orderly performance of various work of the hospital during the festival.
