August 2024 marked the fourth Shenzhen Health Month. On August 30, Shenzhen Samii Medical Center (The Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen) brought together 15 departments to host the "Large-scale Free Medical Consultation Activities in 2024 Shenzhen Health Month". The event featured health lectures, expert consultations, interactive health stations, and other engaging activities, offering citizens a wealth of experiences to quickly access the latest health information and medical services, providing a "one-stop" solution for improving health.

In this activity, FAN Henghua, Department Head of Orthopedics of SSMC, delivered a public health lecture titled "Focusing on Joint Pain". He provided a detailed explanation of common causes, preventive measures, and treatments for joint pain, helping attendees gain a deeper understanding of their health and adopt more scientific ways to prevent orthopedic conditions, thus enhancing their daily quality of life.

In addition to the orthopedic department, experts from E.N.T., Neurosurgery, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, TCM, Thoracic Surgery, Clinical Psychology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Oncology, Urology, Infectious Diseases, Diagnostic Laboratory, and Medical Imaging departments were present at the event to answer questions from citizens and provide medical advice.

After consultations, attendees expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to speak face-to-face with specialists without needing an appointment, receiving professional health advice and personalized treatment plans. Many hoped that SSMC would hold more events like this to benefit even more residents of Shenzhen.

Beyond expert consultations, the event offered interactive experiences such as health quizzes, photo booths, stamp collecting for prizes, and lucky draws, which attracted many citizens. These activities not only deepened people's understanding of the hospital but also enhanced their knowledge of health in a fun and engaging way. Hospital-branded merchandise like Xuan paper fans, keychains, refrigerator magnets, and mugs were especially popular.
